1995- present day Art Workshop leader,Working with all age ranges in community settings. Special needs, the young and the old the naughty and the shy. Artist in residence at various schools/settings from one day to two month placements. Working on given projects, working with groups and individuls to create projects and creating my own briefs. 20 ft charcoal group drawings, installations and performances,costume making, huge sand sculptures , collaborative canvas’s, murals sculptures

I also do lots of festivals and day events involving the public to create art work
I reccenty have set up a company www.fineartistes.com
where we take art on to the streets embracing the public with comedy arty characters and get
them involved in creating there own art works.
Iam a director of green arts network which is early days but good potential.

Artist My work practice is very open and diverse- drawing, painting, ceramics, digital,
performance and film as well as graffiti and murals. I am continuously exploring and pushing my
own boundaries.
I have exhibited in the Royal West Academy Bristol, Victoria art gallery Bath, Michael tippet
centre Bath, Hot Bath Gallery, Bath fringe festival, Spy glass awning project Bristol , solo show at
the centre space Bristol. Vyner street london, The muse gallery portabello selfridges

I do large scale graffiti walls/murals as well as fineart works

Producing and preparing Art high standard works for Damien Hirst international exhibitions and
private collections including Instillations, butterfly canvases, photo
realism paintings, spin paintings. Besides the creative input, this position also involved extremely
detailed database and administration work. This also included
project managing and training up new employees.

Improvised comic-visual theatre characters, original and inventive comedy visual theatre in a wide
range of situations. Funded by the arts council and British council as
well as private bookers. Performed in markets of Nigeria, mud at Glastonbury, Red square in
Moscow, on skidoo’s in the swiss alps, The Royal Academy, Costa Rica, Melbourne comedy festival

A Reference for Rose Popay

Rose spent a few days at Corsham Primary School, Wiltshire to carry out a project
with groups of pupils with special needs, some with moderate learning difficulties and
some who have specific learning difficulties caused by speech and language
impairment. I was immediately impressed by her natural abilities and the way she
engaged with the children, who ranged in age from four to eleven.
Taking the term’s topic of ‘life cycles’ Rose and the children created two, impressive
large, colourful canvases which all of the twenty four pupils contributed towards. The
medium of black marker pens with acrylic paint was accessible to all pupils and led to
them showing high levels of care and concentration, which for many of them is
unusual. They were inspired and enthused by Rose and by the end result, and eagerly
persuaded the teachers to allow them to show their beautiful work in a school
assembly. This has been fantastic for their self-esteem.
Rose introduced herself and engaged the pupils’ attention with a Power Point
presentation. She proved herself to be very tuned in to her audience which,
considering their varying levels of comprehension and expression of language, was
skilful. Her quirky, good natured humour and positive approach created a warm
atmosphere in which there was a lot of laughter and calm, constructive conversation.
She carried out her project in an organised, tidy way while involving the children in
all parts of the process.
I would highly recommend Rose and I wish her well for, what I am sure, will be a
successful future.
